Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This policy explains how Kbur Hasab Academy ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal data when you use www.kburhasab.com, enrol on a course, register for Free Friday, buy our book or contact us. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
1. Who we are
Kbur Hasab Academy is run by Weldsh Solomon and is the controller of your personal data. Address: 7 Bell Yard, London WC2A 2JR. Email: Kburhasab@gmail.com. WhatsApp: +44 7340 961147.
2. What we collect
• Details you give us in our forms: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, the course or service you are interested in, and your message.
• Organisation details if you enquire on behalf of an organisation: organisation name, your role and your training or consulting needs.
• Course records: enrolment, attendance, course progress and feedback you choose to give.
• Payment records: what you bought and when. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not see or store your full card details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device and pages visited, collected by our website platform through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How and why we use it (lawful bases)
• To enrol you, deliver your course and communicate with you about it: performance of a contract.
• To answer enquiries and prepare proposals for individuals and organisations: legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before a contract.
• To send you Free Friday joining details and course updates you asked for: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To keep financial and tax records: legal obligation.
• To keep our website secure and understand how it is used: legitimate interests and, where required, consent for non-essential cookies.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them or you are an existing student and the message is about similar courses. Every message will tell you how to opt out.
4. Testimonials and feedback
We only publish feedback where the feedback form told you it could be used publicly. We publish first names or anonymised details only, and we will remove your feedback from our website if you ask us to.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Academy and who must protect it: our website and forms platform (Wix), our online course platform (Thinkific) and its payment processors, Zoom for live classes, WhatsApp for course and community groups you choose to join, and Google for email. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. We may also share data where the law requires it. When you buy our book on Amazon, Amazon is responsible for your purchase data.
6. How long we keep it
• Enquiries and Keep Me Informed requests: up to 2 years from our last contact, unless you enrol.
• Student and enrolment records: up to 6 years after your course ends, for accounting and legal purposes.
• Free Friday registrations: up to 2 years from your last registration.
• Where you withdraw consent, we stop using your data for that purpose straight away.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email Kburhasab@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please complain to us first at Kburhasab@gmail.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
